New version of Metics software
Following success in Scandinavia last year, Lassus Software are to release a new version of Metics at the show. Metics is a modern software solution for cosmetics development and regulatory affairs. The new version will offer more features while retaining the ease of use the system is renowned for. Metics is designed to help the cosmetics industry develop and verify faster, be more cost-effective and of a higher quality. From handling formulation development with cost optimisation and instant verification of INCI, CAS and regulations, supporting safety assessments, to building up the complete PIF and exporting it effortlessly. Metics integrates with the European Commission database CosIng and the software is designed to fully version all user data so that all changes can be traced.

Eco-designed emollient ester for skin and hair care products
Lipex® SheaLight is a state of the art, shea butter based emollient naturally derived from renewable
sources. It offers unique sensory properties well suited for a wide range of face care and hair care applications. A study of the impact of shea based emollients on different skin shows Lipex SheaLight to be significantly less greasy than others, offering high slipperiness and a far more powdery skin feel. Another study demonstrates how replacing Dimethicone with Lipex SheaLight in hair conditioner offers equivalent performance in all test parameters, making it an excellent replacement for silicones in hair care products. Lipex SheaLight enables the development of safe, stable formulations combining light, silky soft sensorial properties with a better sustainability profile. Use it on its own or combined with other emollients or emulsifiers when formulating everyday personal care products. It is highly spreadable and polar and delivers good solubilising and dispersing properties. Lipex SheaLight is developed by AAK Personal Care in Sweden, specialists in high-performance lipids from renewable sources.
