• Sunday 19th January, Dunblane Cathedral Arts Guild 3pm in the Cathedral. Swing 2014 - jazz quartet Ellington, Goodman, Dorsey, Reinhardt & co. Tickets in the door or from Smallprint.


• Monday 3rd February, Dunblane Cathedral Guild, 7.30pm in the Cathedral Hall the talk is entitled “Comfort Rwanda”. This is one of the National Guild Projects for the current three years. The aim is to build homes in East-Central Rwanda for survivors (mainly widows) of the genocide in 1994. The perpetrators of the genocide and the surviving families of those they have killed are brought together for spiritual and practical support. Visitors are welcome at all The Guild meetings.


• Monday, 10th February Dunblane Civic Society meets at 7:30pm in the Braeport Centre. Stewart Prodger, S.E.P.A. will give a talk on “Changes in Rainfall and Flooding in Scotland”. All welcomed. Visitors’ admission £2.


• Monday 11th February, Dunblane Arthritis Care, Victoria Hall 1.30 - 3.30pm when we will have musical entertainment from local Jazz Group. New members welcome. Group information from Pat Anderson 01786 822505





Friday 14th February, Forth Valley U3A 2pm in the Mayfield Centre, St Ninians. Erskine has been caring for Scotland’s veterans since 1916; re-building shattered lives, restoring dignity and providing first-class care to ex-Service men and women. In the past year the charity has cared for 1,100 veterans. You are warmly invited to come along to the talk and to discover more about the FVU3A whilst enjoying a cup of tea or coffee and chatting with some of the members. Saturday 22nd February, Dunblane Cathedral Guild Table Top Sale 10am – 1pm. Any individual or group who would like to have a table at this event should contact Dorothy Millar (tel.01786 824170). This is a good way to start spring – cleaning and raise funds at the same time.(Thanks to everyone who helped in any way with the Coffee Morning in November. The sum of £735 was raised.)
