Tuesday 1st Oct, Stirling Speaking Society We are an informal group who meet to enjoy developing and practicing the skills of speaking in public. We believe it’s all about knowing the ‘tricks of the trade’, having confidence and focus. Everyone brings their own experience and ideas and although each meeting has a structure, no two are the same! We meet in Dunblane Cathedral Halls on the first and third Tuesday of each month from 7.45 pm to finish at 10 pm. Our next meetings this month are 1st & 15th Oct. • Wednesday 2nd October, Dunblane and District Gardening Club meets in the Cathedral Halls, at 2.00 pm. Our speaker for the first meeting will be Lindsay Murray who will give a talk on the Fife Gardening Festival 2014. If you would like to join the club you will be made most welcome. Membership fees are £8 full price, £7 concessions and visitors £1.50.


• Sunday 6th October, Piano Recital by Joseph Long in the Cathedral at 3pm. This is the first full recital on the Cathedral’s Bösendorfer Conservatoire Grand: Rachmaninov, Poulenc, Britten, Alkan. • Sunday 6th October, Start Up Stirling Annual Thanksgiving Service. 6.30pm St Blanes Church. All welcome
