Everyone knows that a heart attack can be fatal. But hopefully everyone also knows that it need not be fatal if action is taken within the fi rst few minutes of an attack.
The Dunblane Centre now hosts an automated external defi brillator (AED), donated by the Dunblane First Responders, and assisted through a Wind Farm award from the Dunblane Development Trust.
THIS LIFE SAVING EQUIPMENT IS LOCATED IN THE CENTRE’S ENTRANCE PORCH. IT IS CLEARLY SIGN-POSTED AND AVAILABLE FOR PUBLIC ACCESS AT ALL TIMES.
The staff of the Dunblane Centre are trained in the use of the de-fi b, and short public ‘HeartStart’ training courses will be off ered free of charge by the First Responders.
Could you save the life of a heart attack victim? Ask at the Dunblane Medical Practice or the Dunblane Centre to join a HeartStart class: These will be practical 2-hour courses, they will be free of charge, and they will teach you how to save a life. PS: Bring a friend!
