So what is in the box?
The Cardboard Box is all about play and family fun. Having identifi ed a need within the local community, the new playcafe is a social enterprise, run not to make a profi t, but to meet the needs of families with young children in and around Dunblane.
The aim is to provide a stimulating environment for children to play, which is safe and relaxing enough for you to fi nish your coff ee while it is still hot. Then, once you’ve regained your sanity, you will fi nd yourself wanting to join in!
For a small admission charge, the kids get to play with interactive reading materials, lots of role play, dressing up and simple games. Adults get to play for free (if they bring their children!), as well as getting access to the latest issues of great magazines, a New York style coff ee menu, parenting ideas (simple and
realistic!) people to chat and like-minded, friendly to. There will be regular
theme days, and special events; facepainting, storytelling, information sessions from relevant organisations, fun workshops and puppet shows.
