Teksta was named Best Youth Electronic toy at Toy Fair 2013, and is the follow-up to the robotic pets that were fi rst released in 1999, selling over 8m pieces. Today’s Teksta features new 4G generation technology. Teksta is an eight-week-old untrained puppy; the more you train and play with him, the more features are unlocked. Hand gesture technology allows you to command Teksta to stop, sit, and perform tricks including a back fl ip. He responds to your voice, physical gestures, lights, sounds and an app on smart devices, and his artifi cial intelligence and toyetic interaction offers emotions including barking, crying, whimpering, and expressive eye patterns. Teksta falls asleep when the sun goes down and wakes up in the morning.
He also dances, and once connected to a smart device kids can select a song from their music library and programme dance moves or listen to the puppy bark along.
