ACCOUNTANTS Ian Jeffery, audit supervisor at Prime Chartered Accountants, has been promoted to audit manager at the firm.


He began work in 2003 and has


since successfully completed his accounting qualifications while steadily achieving promotion in his career. This has recently been recognised when Ian was shortlisted in the career development category of Solihull Chamber’s employee awards.

PROPERTY Mark Milner has become the managing director of Landmark UK Property, part Landmark Information Group. He joins the firm from The Digital


Property Group, where as the CEO he was responsible for managing the growth and direction of one of the UK's largest property portal businesses incorporating FindaProperty.com, Primelocation.com and Globrix.com Mark has a wealth of experience and a detailed knowledge of the


property industry. Having been on Landmark’s board of directors since 2009, he also has a clear understanding of the organisation. Landmark is a provider of land and property search information, including digital mapping, environmental risk reports for property professionals and property management tools for surveyors, risk and fraud managers and the broader financial markets.


FORRESTERS Jagvir Purewal has become the latest addition to Forresters’ growing team of trainee attorneys. Jagvir, who has a first degree in


physics and a PhD in theoretical condensed matter physics, began to train as a patent and trademark attorney in 2007 after passing the Queen Mary Certificate of Intellectual Property. He won the GlaxoSmithKline prize for the best performance in patent exams, and following a brief return to industry, now has only two exams left to qualify as a patent attorney. At Forresters, Jagvir will


work across a broad range of client sectors, including oil drilling and exploration, vehicle components and the protection of medical devices. After qualifying as a UK and European patent attorney, he will look forward to assisting the firm with business development and growth.

Dan Hart has been appointed head of sales at Ubiquitous, the largest operator in the UK’s taxi advertising industry, following changes to the company’s management structure and the creation of an operational board. Dan joins Ubiquitous from JC Decaux, where he was Trading Group Head. He has additionally held roles at T4 Media, Clear Channel Outdoor and EMAP. Andrew Barnett, managing director of Ubiquitous, said: “Ubiquitous is


now of a size where it requires more pairs of experienced hands to run it and importantly, to achieve the next stage in its development. The creation of the operational board and the arrival of Dan is recognition of this, combined with the advantage that we have a well-established and very experienced team, whom I trust to keep the business on its current path of growth and success.”

Simon Johnson has joined Derbyshire-based UK door distributor JB Kind as its new sales director. Previously director of trade sales for Aga Rangemaster, Simon has been


working in sales since graduating from a Diploma in Business Studies over 20 years ago. Before taking up his first post as regional sales manager with Rangemaster, Simon spent 12 years working at Derbyshire-based Brett Martin Building Products. He said: “I am looking forward to tackling a new challenge as part of a


company that has an unrivalled history in this sector. Working with a company that has such an excellent reputation will be a privilege and I will enjoy using my experience to improve key processes and relationships to support the company’s future success.”


ANSONS Legal firm Ansons has appointed two new members of staff to its Commercial Property team. Rebecca Whittaker, an expert in both Commercial and Agricultural


Property, joined the firm in August having moved from Lanyon Bowdler in Shrewsbury. Jon Rowley also joins the firm as a new trainee and will be based in the


Commercial Property team. Existing staff members, Adam Penn from the Personal Injury Team, Julie


Tomasik from the residential team and Shelly Wainwright from the Wills and Probate team, have been made associates having successfully completed Ansons’ Development Programme.
