What is cellulite?


Cellulite is the uneven distribution of subcutaneous fat tissue giving rise to an irregular, dimpled skin surface of the thighs, abdomen, and buttocks in 85% of post-adolescent women.Also known as ‘orange peel’ or cottage cheese’, it is the abnormal storage of fat and toxins in the fat cells (adipocytes) under the skin and is caused by an imbalance between fat production and fat breakdown within the cells.


Many believe cellulite to be a fat problem that can be eliminated through diet and exercise. Although these methods will lessen the appearance of cellulite, it will never eliminate it entirely.

What is Cellulaze and how does it work?


This is the world’s first cellulite treatment which uses a pulsed laser which delivers energy to treat cellulite which does not penetrate the upper layers of skin.


Cellulaze works by firstly inserting the laser through a 1-2mm incision in the skin and placing it just underneath the top layer, pointing it downwards to liquidise the excess fat lying beneath the epidermis.The laser is then pointed at a horizontal angle to cut through the stiffened fibrous bands, releasing the valleys of fat which cause the orange peel effect.


Finally, the laser is placed in the upright position to thicken and elasticise the top layer of skin, smoothing out the surface for tight and toned skin.
