The living wall installed on the Waitrose store in Bracknell is flourishing just six months after it was installed by Hedera Screens. Named as their lowest carbon store the 25,000 sq ft store in Berkshire showcased a host of biodiverse new features to enhance the natural environment.
The Living Wall uses Mobilane’s Live Panel product and measures 49 sq m in total. Hedera Screens installed this in small modules, onto an aluminium frame which was then secured onto the face of the building. Each of the modules com- prise of a specially designed substrate to enable the plants that are installed to not only establish themselves but also to thrive.
