A London based architect has chosen to make dramatic use of steel windows to form a screen between the main bedroom and en- suite bathroom within her own apartment, with a member of the Steel Window Association manufacturing and installing the bespoke design solution. The screen was
produced in hot dip galvanized W20 sections, which were polyester powder coated with a RAL grey finish. It is glazed with 4 mm thick toughened float glass and measures 3200 mm by 2164 mm high. There is a single leaf door to access the en-suite, hung on brass hinges and fitted with satin chrome ironmongery, including single handles, and a friction top arm.

Gravesend Library’s Carnegie building in Kent has undergone a much needed restoration project 100 years after it first opened. The £2.5 million project required specialist skills in every area, and Ventrolla South Eastwere on hand to ensure the sash windows were expertly renovated. Ventrolla carried out a complete refurbishment of 25
sash windows, including producing some new replacement sills and boxes. A set of doors were also converted into windows with care taken to ensure the glazing bar profile and the horn matched the originals. The library project took over a year to complete, but it is now open to the public.
