Last W rd The

What was the last big success you enjoyed? It would have to be winning the World Pairs with Andy Thomson in 2009 at Potters.

What was the last match you lost you thought you should have won?

Probably the one that knocked me out of the world top 16. I lost to Stewart Anderson in Wales at the Welsh Grand Prix at the beginning of 2011. Even though I played well, Stewart just made it over the line ahead of me.

The last bowling green you played on? The last green I played on was Taunton Dean in the Liberty Trophy.

The last opponent you beat?

That would be Lee Schraner from Australia in the Scottish International Open.

The last time you recorded a full house? It’s been a while! It probably was in the summer, in the Top Club Outdoors competition.

When was the last time an umpire told you off? It was for using my mobile phone on the green. If I remember correctly, I was trying to ring the away team to find out how they were getting on finding the club and I was told off for using my phone on the green, which, looking back, was probably right.

The last time you bought a new set of bowls? That would be a very long time ago. I’m very lucky that I’m sponsored by Henselite, so I tend to get my bowls sent to me.

Your last remaining ambition in bowls? To become the World Indoor Singles champion.

The last person you received a telephone call from? Probably my mum!

The last thing you do before you go to bed at night? I’m very sad, I’m one of these who goes round the house at night switching everything off.

The last movie you watched?

That would have been Batman Returns – I’m a bit of a Batman fan.

The last time you cried?

Probably at those Daily Mirror ‘Pride of Britain’ Awards where they give out awards for ordinary people who have done something special throughout the year - I cry at all of them, I’m useless!

The last place you went on holiday?

That would have been down in Cornwall with the family. We go down there most summers.
