Let us help you find the perfect site for your family reunion, company picnic, party, or wedding! Choose from a number of outdoor settings, including the Rose Garden at Julia Davis Park, a shelter at Ann Morrison Park, or a private evening at Zoo Boise. We recommend planning ahead and booking early due to the high demand placed on our parks. Reservations guarantee the location, date, and time for your scheduled event. Groups with reservations have priority use over drop-in users. Make your reservation at least 7 business days before your event. You can reach us by phone at 608-7644 on-line at www.cityof- boise.org/parks/reservations; through e-mail at reserve@cityofboise.org; or in person at the Boise Parks & Recreation Administration Office, 1104 Royal Blvd., Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Office is closed on legal holidays. A fee is required to secure a facility and to make the proper preparations for your event. Fees vary according to the events needs and/ or facility. Reservations for the following park shelters and picnic sites are accepted up to 11 months (1st business day of the 11th month) in ad- vance for use from mid-April to mid-October. Each site varies in capacity and surrounding attractions:

Celebrate your special moment at one of our beautiful park sites! Julia Davis Rose Garden reservations are available from mid-April to mid-October. Kathryn Albertson Park Gazebos can be reserved up to 11 months (1st business day of the 11th month) in advance of your special day for use from mid-April to mid-October. Gazebos include the Eyrie and the Rookery Garden facilities are restricted to formal cer- emonies only. Receptions are not permitted at these sites. Up to 10 chairs may be hand carried in and out of the park.


POOL RENTALS Make a splash with your friends and family!


Reserve a pool for your neighborhood, club or family party. The Natatorium, Ivywild, Borah, and Fairmont pools are available for use June 10 through August 17. For information, call Fort Boise Community Center at 608-7680.


COMMUNITY EVENTS (208) 608-7644


The Gene Harris Bandshell, Greenbelt, and numerous park sites are available for fun runs, festivals, concerts and other community events. Community events are open to the public and advertised. Community events require a Special Event Application due to the City Clerk’s Office 45 days prior to your event. Fees vary according to the event needs and/ or facility. ZOO BOISE

Lions and tigers and a sloth bear, oh my! After-hours private parties are welcome at Zoo Boise, which is located in Julia Davis Park. Indoor and outdoor areas are available for your event. The African Plains exhibit features an African School House, an indoor space adjacent to the lion and giraffe displays. The zoo also features an Educational Center, Small Animal Kingdom, Zootique gift shop, Carou- sel rides and the Conservation Cruise boat ride. Taste of the Wild catering is available for any type of meal from casual to elegant. Zoo Boise is available evenings from 5:30-9 pm. Maximum capacity: 1,500.


The Boise Depot is a unique for weddings, parties and corporate parties and fund-raising events. A former Union Pacific train station, the Depot can accommodate 300 maximum occupancy; 165 for sit-down events. A beautiful historic Spanish-style structure operated by the Boise Parks & Recreation Department, the Depot was opened in 1925 to elaborate fanfare in the capital city. With a splendid panoramic view of the Boise Front, the building grounds include Platt Gardens, a lovely park with


pathways, a gazebo and a koi pond makes this a popular site for weddings, photographs and public gatherings. Depot amenities include The Great Hall, a soaring 77 ft by 46 ft totaling 3,542 sq. ft. multi-story atrium that once served as the building’s waiting room. The original 1925 Barkalow Brothers Newsstand is featured on the west wall. The newsstand has been slightly restored but remains in its original form. This area is great for a buffet or display. The Great Hall can be scheduled 11 months in advance for events from 10 a.m.-midnight, 1st business day of the 11 month.

CATERING PERMIT/ALCOHOL


An alcohol beverage catering permit from Boise City is required if alcohol is served. (Only those with Idaho beer and wine or liquor license can obtain permits through Boise City).


DEPOT CANCELLATIONS & RESCHEDULING


A $120.00 processing fee is charged on Depot cancellations after the 1st initial payment is made. If the balance is paid in full, Depot reservations cancelled within the 60 days of the event will be refunded $300.00 for the security deposit. (The security deposit does not apply for the 5 for 5 special rate). Rescheduling requests must be made 60 days prior to the original event date and must be within that calendar year.
