Staff BOISE EARTH ACTION CAMP 10-12 YRS


Campers will hike, explore, and play in the wonderland that is our Boise backyard!. We’ll examine our local ecosys- tem from the forested mountains at Bogus Basin, through the foothills into the city, and right into the Boise River. Along the way, they’ll have many opportunities to see how humans interact with the environment, for better or worse. Camp is based at the Foothills Learning Center.

MOUNTAIN DISCOVERY CAMP 9-12 YRS


Come join us where the air is cool and the adventure never ends! You’ll spend each day exploring the forests, streams, and mountain peaks near Bogus Basin Resort! Follow animal tracks, build a shelter out of natural materials, hike to the top of Mores Mountain, meet new friends, and draw pictures of native plants and animals all while sleep- ing each night in the comfort of your own bed! Participants will meet in Boise each day for a bus ride to Bogus Basin. This camp is offered in partnership with the Bogus Basin Nordic Lodge Educational Program.

PRE-SCHOOL NATURE CAMP 3 ½-5 YRS These camps will focus on birds that can be found n the Boise area. Learn songs, hear stories, play games and do an art project each day. Participants should bring a sack lunch and beverage (in the spirit of being green, reusable and closable containers are encouraged). Campers should wear shoes suitable for running (crocs are discouraged and please—no sandals or open toes) A brimmed hat is recommended. We will be eating, playing and hiking outside so dress appropriately and use sunscreen! Camp curriculum is the same each week.

FITNESS & ADVENTURE


BOULDERING CAMP 9-11 YRS This camp will teach a variety of climbing skills and techniques, including roped climbing and bouldering. This “free form” style of climbing combines problem solving with gymnastic movement. The STEEP (Safety, Training, Ethics, Environment, Perseverance) program teaches this wildly popular sport through a five-step process designed to en- courage success and fun.
