ADULT ACTIVITIES


FITNESS CLASSES YOGA, MIXED LEVEL


Enjoy a new way to increase your strength and flexibility. Effort is required to properly align the body in the yoga poses. Each class ends with a relaxation period to refresh your mind and body. This class is suited for mixed abilities. Students need to bring a yoga mat, a dense blanket and a yoga strap.

PILATES


Enjoy a series of non-impact exercises to develop strength, flexibility, balance and inner awareness while strength- ening abs, obliques and back muscles. Muscles are strengthened and lengthened without creating bulk, which is helpful in preventing and rehabilitating from injuries. No Class July 4.

TAI CHI

CORE CONDITIONING


Forty-five minutes of moves designed to strengthen the abdominals, obliques, lower back and trunk extensors. Ex- tended stretching is included at the end for a complete strength and flexibility workout. No class May 28 & August 13.

INDIVIDUAL FITNESS DEVELOPMENT ADULTS 18+


Need a little help getting started in the weight room? Become acquainted with the equipment, learn safe and effec- tive techniques and understand principles of progression without injury from a certified personal trainer. Expect two to four hours of instruction to feel comfortable working independently. This is available by appointments only, days and evenings, for a charge of $35 per hour. Call 608-7680 to inquire.

SUNSET/MOONRISE HIKES 16YRS+


Once every lunar cycle the sun sets and the full moon rises at virtually the same time. This moderately strenuous one hour plus hike takes you to a vantage point above Boise on the Central Ridge Trail in the Military Reserve foothills. You will watch the sun setting and the full moon rising as the lights come on in the city below. Wear sturdy shoes and bring sunglasses, a flashlight and water. Open to adults and youth 16 years of age and older.
