BOULDERING CAMP 12-17 YRS This camp will teach a variety of climbing skills and techniques, including roped climbing and bouldering. This “free form” style of climbing combines problem solving with gymnastic movement. Our experienced instructors understand the importance of safety and respect. The indoor bouldering walls range from 12-16 feet with a 12-inch thick flooring system customized to fit the contours of the climbing wall for maximum safety. Students will also get to experience the “on rope” side of rock climbing through top-roping. Top-roping builds confidence on the wall and increases endurance & strength. MOUNTAIN DISCOVERY CAMP TEEN OVERNIGHT 12-16 YRS
Do you already know you like the outdoors but would like to take your adventures to the next level? At the Bogus Basin Moun- tain Discovery Camp Overnighter, you’ll hike, camp and explore the forests, streams, and mountain peaks just outside of Boise City. You could spend the night in a survival shelter you’ll construct on your own, learn to create fire by friction and identify a variety of useful plants. Monday-Wednesday are day expeditions and Thursday evening is the overnight at the Bogus Basin Yurt. Participants will take a bus each day from Fort Boise Community Center or Whitney Community Center to the Nordic Lodge at Bogus Basin. This is a partnership with the Bogus Basin Frontier Point Nordic Lodge & Education Center. AGES DAYS TIME
