USTA JUNIOR TEAM TENNIS Enjoy a summer activity that emphasizes fun, team play and the health benefits of tennis.

TENNIS 101 FOR KIDS & ADULTS


For tennis enthusiasts of all ages who have never played or who are a little rust. Tennis 1091 teaches the basics of the game quickly and easily in a fun, fast and family-friendly group environment. Clinics are from 9 to 10:30 am on Saturdays from June thru September at designated public courts in Boise, Meridian and Eagle for a small fee. Register online at www.idtennis.com. IDTA TENNIS IS ELEMENTARY


Through this after-school program developed by Idaho Tennis Association, even the youngest players can join the action. Using the USTA QuickStart format, kids 10 and under play and learn right away because courts, racquets, balls, scoring system and even the net height are just their size. Clinics are held at various elementary schools throughout the valley. If you are a kid between 7 and 14 years old (age as of December 31, 2012) who loves to run, jump and throw, these games are for you! Come on out and join in the fun by competing in basic track and field events and have a chance of a lifetime to receive an all-expense paid trip to compete in the annual North American Final meet held in Hershey, PA, August 2-5, 2012.


Boys and girls compete separately in four age groups:


(7-8*, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14)


Field Events (check in 4:30 pm, begin 5:15 pm) • Standing Long Jump • Softball Throw


Track Events (check in 5:30 pm, begin 6:15 pm) • 50m • 100m • 200m • 400m • 800m • 1600m

Beginners and track enthusiasts all welcome. First and second place finishers qualify to participate in the South State meet to be held in Rexburg, ID on July 7, 2012 (transportation on your own). Everyone’s a winner because you are making the choice to get fit!
