Fla., took part in the 4th Annual Zoomin’ For Zoe: Road to Recovery Car & Motorcycle Show held at Wayne Akers Ford. The fundraiser benefits the Connor Moran Childhood Cancer Foundation.

Working Around the Weather The weather in northwestern Pennsylvania has been extremely

dry combined with mild temperatures. Bottom line: No snow, or at least very little, means remote start sales can stall. But Enormis Mobile Specialties of Erie was determined to do some remote start business, anyway. “Our consistent advertising coupled with our high-quality,

no-

nonsense installs and awesome word-of-mouth have given us an awesome season,” said Lou Norman, owner. “Our parking lot got plowed three times this remote start season compared with approximately 20 times last year, but we actually installed more remote starts this year than last year!” Even though the major snowfalls haven’t been reminding their customers to get in and get the remote starts, this retailer’s consistent storm of radio and television ads delivered.

presi-

dent: “Andy always comes in ready to

work. He treats the business as his own. That is why he has progressed from part-time stock clerk, to full-time employee, to store manager, and now to his new role as vice president.”

Feel-Good Food Drive

Boosts Business During the holidays, Mesa, Ariz.-based Xtreme Audio & Design ran a promotion that was a win-win for everyone — a food drive for the United Food Bank. According to owner Chad Marra, here’s how it worked: If a client brought in 10 items to be donated to the food bank, they would receive 10 percent off of the invoice total. Xtreme collected a total of 500 pounds of food. “This was the only special that we ran through the holidays, and our business was up 38 percent over the holiday season in 2010,” said Marra.
