Japan and China haul the most ABU Prizes


Rosniawanty Fikri and Kioen Moe of Metro TV-Indonesia, Mariko Ando of Nagoya TV, Tai Keen-Man of RTHK-Hong Kong and Biju Mathew of AIR-India with their respective ABU Prizes.

The winners were announ- ced during the ABU Prizes awards ceremony in New Delhi on the eve of the General Assembly.


Japan was the big winner in the TV segment. NHK- Japan won the TV and radio prizes for drama as well as the Dennis Antho- ny Memorial Award for its coverage of the 11 March disaster. The National As- sociation of Commercial Broadcasters in Japan swept up the prizes for TV youth, news and documen- tary categories.
