Gibsons Games Gibsons is celebrating a major

achievement for the young designers of its new eco savvy board game, Mission Earth, after they were awarded third place in this year’s Young Enterprise competition. Mission Earth is the new

game from Gibsons that was designed by Cosmic Enterprises, a group of girls from Oxford High School, as part of the Young Enterprise Scheme. The design and development has been taking place throughout 2011 and is about to launch to market. In that time 2200 entrants have been through heats and regional fi nals culminating in the

national fi nal on July 11th where the girls took third place overall! Speaking of the award Kate Armitage from Gibsons commented: “We are wholly delighted

for the girls; they are deserved runners up in what is a highly competitive scheme. When they approached us at the start of the year, we decided to take their concept as part of our new portfolio because it’s a great game and one that we believe will be highly popular with children. Mission Earth has a great back story in its origination but is also really fun and informative to play. As part of the game-play, children and adults will also learn more about environmental

issues which is also incredibly important for the future.” T: 020 8661 8866 W: www.gibsonsgames.co.uk

John Crane The new range of ‘My First’ puzzles from Tidlo, includes My First Jigsaws, My First Shape

Matching and My First Peg Puzzles: All with chunky pieces ideal for small fi ngers. The My First Jigsaws come in four designs and each have only four large pieces to fi t

into the tray. With a different design on the tray to the puzzle, children will be suitably ‘puzzled’ whilst the traditional ‘retro’ feel will appeal to the adults around them. Alternatively, My First Shape Matching Insects and My First Shape Matching Farmyard uses a bolder, more colourful approach and the handbag shaped puzzle board comes complete with carry handle and pieces with handy cords to attach them to the game and stop them being lost. Lastly, My First Peg Puzzles come in

two designs: a pink My First Peg Puzzle - Princess Castle that will appeal to little girls and a My First Peg Puzzle - Pirate

Ship, aimed at boys interest in life on the ocean wave and the treasures of the deep.
