Mind Candy, the creators of Moshi Monsters has launched a Nintendo DS game – Moshling Zoo - in collaboration with Activision. Moshling Zoo aims to offers fans a new take on the Moshi universe, including new content, new locations and an exclusive new Moshling - which is yet to be revealed. There are 52 Moshlings to collect from the common to the rare and even the elusive ‘ULTRA-RARE’. Children can also play new mini-games and educational-style puzzles, plus win awards and trophies to take back to their zoo. “With an absolutely massive fan base, Moshi Monsters is clearly one of


the fastest growing children’s entertainment brands in the world,” said David Oxford, EVP & general manager, Activision Publishing. “We look forward to building on Mind Candy’s success as we work closely with them to extend the brand experience.” Moshling Zoo will go on sale this autumn and has been rated E for Everyone by the ESRB.

Hoho Entertainment says pre-production has begun on its fi rst animated pre-school project entitled Cloudbabies and is set to air on CBeebies in 2012 with a 52 x 10 ‘ series. Cloudbabies features four childlike characters, Baba Pink, Baba Blue, Baba


Yellow and Baba Green whose job it is to look after the sky and their Sky Friends - Sun, Moon, Rainbow, Fuffa Cloud and Little Star. They live together with Bobo White, a mischievous little imp, in a house on a big fl uffy cloud. Every morning, they jump on their Skyhorsies and begin their day’s work. “Cloudbabies is very dear to our hearts as it’s the fi rst project out of the Hoho stable,” commented joint Hoho MD’s, Oliver Ellis and Helen Howells. “There’s already a lot of excitement building around the series and we have managed to keep all the production in the UK, which is quite exceptional nowadays. We are looking forward to taking a pilot episode to MIPCOM in order to secure international partners.” The series was created by award winning art director, Bridget Appleby, and will be animated in CGI by Manchester based Studio Liddell, who are also a co- production partner on the series.
