Mattel We fi rst saw Fijit back in Nuremberg and thought then that it deserved to be a hit. Since then Tesco has placed it top of its ‘must-have’ list for Christmas – and that was with six months still to go! Mattel is billing Fijit as an interactive BFF (best friend forever) and it’s hard to argue with a toy that is designed to chat and dance in reaction to voice commands and music. Beat sensors mean Fijit reacts to different styles of music, swaying to slow ballads and rocking out to pop tracks. Voice recognition softare allows Fijit to identify voice commands and respond with

movements, phrases and jokes. The durable plastic head has removable ears and a tactile shell that is touch sensitive. Two Fijit Friends: Willa and Serafi na will be available, priced around RRP £54.99. * See more on Fijit in our interview with Mattel UK’s Geoff Walker on P54. W: www.mattel.com
