Green Board Games Green Board Games (GBG) has announced the launch of three new
Horrible Histories® BrainBoxes. The three new titles are: Vile Villains, Awesome Ancients and Rotten Romans. All games will be dual-branded Horrible Histories and BrainBox. Horrible Histories books have sold over 20 million copies worldwide and the brand has now become a multi-award winning TV series which first aired in 2009 on CBBC. Following this success, a spin-off quiz show, Horrible Histories Gory Games, is now running alongside the third series, and a six-part prime-time Sunday evening show is currently airing on BBC1, with Stephen Fry as host. The BrainBox range is sold in 22 countries and has 19 separate language
versions being sold by GBGs’ distributor network. According to GBG, combining these successful brands has boosted sales ahead of the critical Q4 selling period. Other new products now available include Wummy (a word game based on rummy). Befuzzled, a family game where players have to perform actions based on abstract symbols and Triplica a set building game. Other new BrainBoxes include Reminisce which covers the last 20 years
to coincide with the same length of time GBG has been bringing games to market and features questions like: Can you remember when Bob the Builder was the Christmas number 1 single? Or in which year Princess Diana got married or divorced? There is also an expansion pack for the No. 1 title BrainBox World (called 20 More) as well as the first in the BrainBox on the go titles. GBG’s Qwirkle game won the
2011 Spiel des Jahres award, which is considered to be the the biggest accolade a game can receive. GBG says Qwirkle is already selling well in the USA and Germany and will be in
great demand, in the UK. T: 01494 538999
