Limited edition of 330 numbered copies, this No. 3. A handsome edition designed by Bruce Rogers. The History of Oliver and Arthur is a mediaeval romance of historical and bibliographical interest. This English translation was made from the extremely rare German version of the early XVIth Century, which was made from the old French and that in turn from a Latin original of an earlier date. There is a single record of an earlier English translation printed by Wynkyn de Worde in 1518, but no copy of that is preserved.
