Driving innovation and change in the supply chain


IT Reseller spoke with Agentrics’ CEO Wellington Machado about the company’s software solutions and how they can


facilitate a more efficient supply chain and communications structure for its manufacturer and retailer customers.

uniting the supply chain around common and consistent business processes. Indeed, Agentrics recently launched a new PLM solution named PLM Active to help retailers and manufacturers overcome the complexity in managing an increasing number of product launches and own-label products in the business.


“In essence, we focus on the relationships between companies,” said Agentrics’ CEO Wellington Machado. “For instance, a large retailer might want to improve its relationship with its suppliers, or a manufacturer might want to improve its relationship with both its customers and its suppliers. So we’re talking about improving the flow of products.” In terms of hard benefits, Machado explained that this could mean a combination of increasing sales and reducing inventory. “We can also look at the hard measurable benefits of out- of-stock reduction and an increase in inventory terms,” he said. “So, in simple terms, we want to be able to put the right products in the right place at the right time in the right quantity for the right price for our customers.”

Integration knowhow


Machado added that Agentrics’ integration service is another big part of the company’s overall offering. “We integrate our SaaS-based systems with our customers’ existing systems, such as ERP or CRM,” he pointed out. “This is a skill that we’ve developed over our 12-year existence as a company, whether we’re talking about integration with standard or legacy systems. Of course, in order to make accurate forecasting calculations we need to collect historical data on inventory levels, purchase orders and sales from the systems our customer already have installed. So with the use of our own SaaS solutions and their standard or legacy software, our customers are benefiting from what could be called a
