There At The Cross by Sandra Hughes

I stand at the cross and what do I see ? A man dying in agony. I sit at the cross and wonder why, this lovely man has to die. As a daughter of Adam I can’t see why this humble man should hang there and die. But as I gaze up on the cross so high I know in my heart a sinner an I. I kneel at the cross as it dawns on me, he’s dying for me so that I can be free. That was on Friday, now Sunday’s here. “ He’s alive, He’s risen,” I can hear them cheer. Now I kneel at the cross where my Saviour died, I know now He is Glorified.

It's always darkest before dawn. So if you're going to steal the neighbour's newspaper, that's the time to do it.

REPLACEMENT WINDOWS ( Painful )

Last year I replaced all the windows in my house with that expensive double-pane energy efficient kind, and today, I got a call from the contractor who installed them. He was complaining that the work had been completed a whole year ago and I still hadn't paid for them. Hellloooo,...........just because I' m blonde doesn't mean that I am automatically stupid. So, I told him just what his fast talking sales guy had told me last year, that in ONE YEAR these windows would pay for themselves! Helllooooo? It's been a year! I told him. There was only silence at the other end of the line, so I finally just hung up. He never called back. I bet he felt like a right idiot.

At the Olympic training village several years ago, as part of their diet the athletes were being starved of carbohydrates. They decided they needed to get some. So they gathered secretly in a room with one of them ( a northerner ) on guard behind the door, while two of them sneaked off to town. Sometime later Linford Christie tapped on the door, and the doorman announced in a whisper “ It’s OK, it’s Linford wi’t chips.” A short time later there was another tap on the door and he said, “

It’s OK, it’s Fatimer wi’t bread.”
