Recently, two restaurants and wine bars
with meeting space, an all-suites hotel,
and an all-season outdoor pavilion at the
bucolic John James Audubon Center at
Mill Grove in Audubon, were added.
WHAT’S NEW
The culturally rich, historic county boasts
7,500 rooms in 60 hotels; eight full-service
convention properties; five IACC-approved
conference centers; the 150,000-square-
foot Valley Forge Convention Center Plaza;
and the new 220,000-square-foot Greater
Philadelphia Expo Center at Oaks.
As the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center at
Oaks nears the end of its first year of oper-
ation, the venue has come into its own as
a premier destination for both trade and
consumer shows. It has hosted the
Sugarloaf Craft Festivals, Suburban Home
and Flower Show, Food and Wine Festival,
Philadelphia Boat Show, the Purina
National Dog Show, Philadelphia Gift
Show, and Penn Atlantic Nursery Trade
Show.
With four halls comprising 220,000 square
feet of uninterrupted exhibition space on
one floor, Greater Philadelphia Expo
Center at Oaks offers parking for 5,000
cars and catering on site.
The four-star, 327-room Dolce Valley
Forge Hotel, Dekalb Pike, King of Prussia,
recently underwent $22 million in
upgrades. The hotel features newly reno-
vated guest rooms, a full-service restau-
rant, spa, 24,000-square-feet of meeting
space, and complimentary wireless
Internet access. The renovation included
a facelift to the building’s facade, all new
guest rooms, meeting facilities and dining
destinations; a new fitness center and
lobby, as well as redesigned landscaping.
The hotel also has plans to add a spa.
The new lobby includes marble floors, rich
mahogany furnishings, plus a wine bar
with evening service located under a dra-
matic European-inspired open staircase,
leading to the summit level. Dolce Valley
Forge’s signature dining destination, The
188-seat THREE01, is influenced by conti-
