Drexel Hill,PA October 20,2009 - Delaware County’s
Brandywine Conference & Visitors Bureau held the
largesteventintheregionatDrexelbrookforthosewho
plan special events, parties, fundraisers, conferences,
galas,business meetings and travel.
Over 50 exhibitors were present in the Grand Ballroom
and the Garden Dessert / Beverage Pavilion. Over
2,000attendeessampledfoodandbeverageitemsand
marveledatcreativeboothdécorateachboothranging Event Judges Neal Zoren; Lynn Doyle and Ann-Michelle Albertson and Chef Brian
from basic to extravagant. Avalare Strings provided
Duffy on either side of Best Booth Presentation Winner, Perelman Quadrangle
music throughout the evening and performed a 20-
Events Facility
minute rock concert. The musical duo, Wheatstone
Bridge,could be heard in the Garden Dessert Pavilion.
One of the night’s many sponsors, SYSCO Foods, fea-
turedtheirfirstChef'sDemonstrationwhichshowcased
five area chefs preparing their signature dishes in front
ofaliveaudiencewithTVhostBillBoggsasthenight’s
emcee.
Awards were given to exhibitors in a variety of cate-
gories. Local chefs, hospitality association Presidents,
and local news anchors judged the exhibitors.For Best
Culinary Presentation, Waterford Ballroom and
Chumley’s at Radisson Valley Forge was awarded the
Gold; Treesome (Creative Juice Group, Crystal Rose
Catering and New Hope Winery) took home the Silver,
and Harrah’s Chester Casino and Race Track received
the Bronze. In the Best Booth Competition, Perelman
Quadrangle Special Events Facility was awarded the
Gold; Waterford Ballroom and Chumley’s at Radisson
Valley Forge took home the Silver, and Treesome
received the Bronze. The Villanova Conference Center
was awarded Best of the Garden Dessert / Beverage
Pavilion.
