June, 2016 Teledyne LeCroy Debuts WaveRunner Oscilloscopes

Chestnut Ridge, NY — Teledyne LeCroy, a manu- facturer of oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers and other test instruments, has introduced its WaveRunner 8000 oscilloscopes with bandwidths of 500 MHz to 4 GHz. The ‘scopes have been designed to deliver an extensive toolbox and user- friendly interface to expedite debugging. The WaveRunner has a wide collection of

tools, and the 8000 series marks the next genera- tion of MAUI®, the company’s advanced user inter- face. The addition of OneTouch to MAUI makes measurement set-up easy, which dramatically reduces the time it takes to navigate complex sig- nal abnormalities. The oscilloscopes have a sample rate of 40

GS/s, which enables detailed edge reconstruction, even for signals with the fastest rise times. In

addition, long memory allows maintenance of the maximum sample rate in longer timebases. The “M” models have 128 Mpt memory, which is useful

for debugging longterm behavior on high-speed serial data buses. The standard collection of math, measure-

ment, debug, and documentation tools provides a wide range of analysis capabilities. Application- specific packages enable streamlined debugging for common design/validation scenarios. Options include digital filtering, spectrum analysis, device and switching power supply analysis. The incorporation of OneTouch into MAUI

allows for more convenient and efficient use. The interface allows all frequent operations to be car- ried out by a single touch of the display. It also con- tains drag-and-drop actions to copy and set up channels, math functions and measurement parameters. Common gestures, such as drag, drop, pinch, and flick, facilitate instinctive interaction with the oscilloscope. The “add new” button quickly enables a new chan-

nel, math or measurement. Contact: Teledyne LeCroy, 700

Noritake Releases Capacitive Touchscreen Displays

Fair Lawn, NJ —Noritake Co., a man- ufacturer of user interface components and HMI solutions, has released its latest capacitive touchscreen displays, which include VFD, LCD, switch pan- els, and EMI shields. The Chicago- based company stocks an array of standard VFD, LCD, OLED, touch- screen, and EMI shielding products and offers design, development and production services. The new touchscreens are avail-

able in versions that can be accessed while wearing different types of gloves, insulated from water and humidity, and in high-contrast VFD configurations. The capacitive technol- ogy can be used in switch panels in

sizes up to 15 in. (380 mm) diagonally. The display itself contains bright LED backlights and sharp image resolu- tion. The switches are suitable for equipment in the vending, medical, sanitary ware, and food processing industries, among many others. A wide temperature operating

range along with a solid, enclosed de - sign gives the displays durability for industrial use, and for applications

where they will be accessed constantly. Contact: Noritake Co., Inc.,
