Asscon Debuts Vapor-Phase Vacuum Soldering System

Konigsbrunn, Germany —Asscon Sys- temtechnik Elektronik has introduced its latest vapor-phase vacuum solder- ing system, the VP7000. The new sys- tem is an in-line model without work- piece carriers and is designed for large-scale, void-free production of complex assemblies, including 3D- MID, in continuous operation. With void rates below 1 percent, the VP7000 meets the needs of high-

Low stress High quality output

Routing and/or sawing Reduced investment

EasyRouter off-line, low volume

TopRouter off-line, medium mix

Automatic tool change Long autonomy

Fast cutting speed High output

Clear cut Outstanding quality

High performance Best return on investment

The dual-lane transport system

processes assemblies up to 620 x 450 mm (24.4 x 17.7 in.) in single-lane configuration, and assemblies of 620 x 260 mm (24.4 x 10.2 in.) in dual- lane mode. Further advantages in- clude symmetrical and asymmetrical conveyors, additional cooling, and re- duced downtime when changing products. Its pin-and-chain conveyor system delivers high throughput.

quality manufacturers, and with the addition of another lane, has a 65 per- cent higher throughput than the sin- gle-lane version. Compared with tradi- tional convection soldering machines, drawing 25 kW, the system’s electrical power consumption is two to three times lower at an average of 5.5 kW.

Also, since the vacuum can be deacti- vated, the system can be used as a

standard in-line vapor-phase system. Contact: Asscon GmbH, Messer-
