June, 2016 Semicon Analysis System

Gilroy, CA — Signatone has just com- pleted the installation of an ad vanced semiconductor thin-film materials characterization system, the Signa - tone WL-250, at the Univ ersity of Maryland. The acquisition of the system was funded by the Office of Naval Research under the Defense University Research Instru men - tation Program. The system provides low- and

high-temperature studies of conduc- tivity, IV curve, impedance, and charge/recharge performance of a variety of materials and devices. The Combinatorial Synthesis

and Rapid Characterization Center in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Maryland, under the direction of Professor Ichiro Takeuchi, will be using the system to character- ize libraries of electronic, magnetic and smart materials, as well as thin- film battery and fuel cell devices. The system contains a 600

degree thermal chuck and a water- cooled platen for thermal protection

Coatings and Materials for Printed Electronics

Parsippany, NJ — Sun Chemical Advanced Materials, a producer of printing inks, coatings and supplies, pigments, polymers and other mate- rials, has introduced new products for printed electronics. Its EMD5805 nanosilver ink has been designed specifically for aerosol jet systems, and the company has also put togeth- er a value package material set for membrane touch switches. The EMD5805 nanosilver ink

has been created for use with indus- try-leading digital and direct-write systems. The newest ink has high- performing, low-temperature sinter- ing properties, and its chemistry has been formulated for long, open life and improved jetting performance. Designed specifically for aerosol jet systems, it is now possible to work

Zurich, Switzerland —ABB, a manu- facturer of power and automation technology, has released its E90 30A and 60A Class J fuse holder family, which expands its selection of UL-list- ed fuse holders and other protective devices. The fuse holders are available in one-, two-, and three-pole configura- tions. The company now offers a com- prehensive line of fuse holders, minia- ture circuit breakers, surge protection devices, and residual current devices. The E90 family has been

designed specifically for the industri- al market in North America. To ensure safety during maintenance operations, the holders can be sealed in the closed position and padlocked while open. With a 90° flip-hinged, ergonomic handle, the holders are safe to touch and easy to access, even in small spaces or while wearing gloves. No tools are required for the installation or replacement of fuses. The holders snap onto a standard DIN rail. A version with an optical

duced a new value package that con- sists of a complementary group of products that speed the design and development of membrane touch switches (MTS). The MTS value package includes screen-printed, sil- ver-filled conductors, carbon-filled resistors and UV-curable, dielectric inks that deliver high-performance at a low cost. The company has matched the chemistries of these products to ensure consistent and

reliable performance. Contact: Sun Chemical Corp.,
