Ingun Intros 12 GHz RF Contacting Probe
Konstanz, Germany — Ingun, a manufacturer of test equipment, has developed a new radio-fre- quency probe. The HFS-856 has been designed to contact switch- connectors (MM8030, MM 84 30, MS-156, and MS-180) as well as miniature plug connectors (U.FL). During the contact process,
the probe’s outer conductor is con- tacted first. It then aligns correct- ly on the connector with its float- ing mounting and makes contact with the signal conductor. The redesigned probe is able to
transfer frequencies up to 12 GHz. The probe comes with an SMA plug for connection.

Manchester, NH —EPE Corporation, a high-reliability EMS provider, has recently acquired a Teradyne Javelin 1004 flying probe test system. The company has offered locally-out- sourced flying probe testing, but is now able to provide the service on- site. By bringing the system in- house, the company dramatically re- duces flying probe test lead-times and eliminates the logistics and addi- tional handling associated with out- sourcing. EPE has recently made other
capital investments, including the purchase of a Nordson DAGE XD - 7600 NT Ruby FP X-ray inspection
system, as well as a Pillarhouse Jade MKII selective soldering machine. EPE has been a trusted, high-relia- bility electronic manufacturing serv- ices provider since 1965.
