Teseq Intros 100A, Burst Pulse CDN for EFT Testing
Edison, NJ — Teseq, a developer and provider of instrumentation and systems for EMC emission and immunity testing, now offers a 100A, 3-phase burst pulse coupling/decoupling network (CDN) designed for electrical fast transient (EFT) or burst testing. The new manual CDN 3083-B100 is suit- able for use in the power and telecom industries. The new CDN can easily carry out applications
8.8kV (5/50ns — 50W EFT pulses si- multaneously into the supply lines of the equipment under test (EUT). It is designed to be used with an EUT supply up to 690VAC, either line-to- line or line to protective earth, or up to 1,000VDC line-to-line or line to protective earth. This compact, lightweight CDN
that require higher AC and DC voltages as well as high inrush or pulse-shaped peak currents like those found in renewable energy sources. Some ap- plications include smart grid, inverters, solar, ener- gy monitoring as well as applications for electric ve- hicles and charging stations. The new unit can couple up to
generator and because of its very compact size. Although it is designed for continuous per- formance up to 100A per phase, the unit can with-
stand higher currents for shorter durations of time. The CDN also includes built-in temperature monitoring to prevent damage to its internal com- ponents and avoid overload. The CDN includes screw terminals rated for 200A, an SHV burst input connector with maximum burst voltage of 8.8kV and earth terminal grounding. Weighing approximately 5kg (11 lbs), the CDN measures 410 x 170 x 190mm (16.14 x 6.69 x

complies with IEC 61000-4-4-Ed. 3.0. It is compatible with all brands of burst generators and is extremely portable. It is convenient for field testing and allows for more setup op- tions in standard compliance applica- tions because it is external to the
Peerless: New KHR500 Contactor from TE
Bethpage, NY — Peerless Electronics is now stocking TE’s brand new KHR500 Contactor. The contactor — also known as
the “BUBBA II” — is unlike other contactors in that it is a reduced-size version of the popular Kilovac BUBBA series contactors. Weighing less than 2 pounds, the unit’s SPST main contacts, and SPDT auxiliary contacts can carry 600A.
Heavy-duty contactor. The BUBBA II provides bi-di-
rectional load switching, with 300A break at 400VDC, make current >5kA. The hermetically-sealed de- vice operates in explosive/harsh envi- ronments. It is designed for high rup- ture currents associated with Li-Ion battery applications, is excellent for high current inrush applications, with main contacts rated at 600Amp continuous current, 12-1800VDC. The unit is capable of interrupting 3,300 Amps and making into cur- rents greater than 5,000Amps. The bottom mount device is not position-
sensitive. Contact: Peerless, PO Box 9052,
