Simi Valley, CA — Hirose has developed a new plug-in connector designed to simplify assembly, installation and future mainte- nance of storage batteries. The new PS2 Se- ries connector’s plug-and-play design elimi- nates on-site cable wiring reducing worker exposure to electrical lines. The connector also reduces maintenance time by eliminat- ing the need for disconnecting and recon- necting wires to the battery module. The PS2 Series connector incorporates

The RoHS-compliant connector has an operating temperature range of –40 to +105°C. The 300Amp power rated current version has a signal rated current of 5Amps; a power rated voltage of 1000VAC and signal rated voltage 300VAC; power rated contact resistance of 0.3mW and signal rated contact re- sistance of 35mW; and an insulation resistance of 5000MW minimum at
