New train maintenance depot door solutions for UK market


Martin Borg, managing director of MTCSS, explains why the company is expanding its industrial doors portfolio with the addition of Stricker new train maintenance depot doors.


For the past seven years, MTCSS has been working in close partnership with German manufacturer Stricker Door Systems. MTCSS is now launching Stricker’s new train maintenance depot doors in the UK to enhance the general maintenance and cleaning of railway carriages.


Stricker has already successfully sold this door solution to the main train providers across Europe. The system has specialist brush technology that adapts to depot door sizes, with the opportunity of screening-off those door openings that are not covered from the outline of the train. The energy-saving covers are the ideal solution for exterior openings in maintenance and repair workshops and in washing and de-icing facilities.


Opening and closing of the doors can be


controlled manually or automatically for ease of use.


Stricker has seen considerable success in Europe with these specialist depot doors, with particularly good feedback on the the energy savings. We value our partnership with Stricker, so bringing this product to the UK is an exciting development.
