IMCCA PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SESSIONS 11:00 - 12:00

Cloud Virtualisation Value The future of conferencing and collaboration will heavily involve software. Virtualisation and cloud access will drive technology penetration to numbers that were previously impossible. This session will address how cloud services and virtualisation are being adopted and deployed, and detail the challenges and successes. Learn how others have moved their conferencing and collaboration to the cloud and the value they have realised by doing so.

14:30 - 16:00 Unified Communications Lessons Although unified communications means different things to different people, organisations are now finding ways to successfully deploy UC to meet their needs. Decisions are being made involving Microsoft Lync, Cisco Jabber and other IM and Presence clients, and how they do or

don’t integrate with other telephony and collaboration infrastructure and devices. This session will explore how UC is being deployed and will provide insight into how to make UC deployment a success. Attendees will learn how to best prepare their organisations for UC, and how various firms have navigated a path to well-utilised deployments.

16:00 - 17:00 Mobility At Work and At Home The use of mobile devices has exploded at work and in the home. Many organisations have adopted BYOD (bring your own device) policies and MDM (mobile device management) solutions. How are firms equipping their offices and homes for both the use of mobile devices and other collaborative tools (audio, web, video)? This session will look at the process, the challenges and the successes of mobility solutions, regardless of the location of the user.
