AVEX’s Quarta integrates AV functionality into a table
Boost meeting room efficiency AVEX
More effective meetings with the help of modern technology – that’s the idea behind Quarta, which exhibitor AVEX is showcasing on its ISE 2014 stand. The Quarta meeting table is said to offer a combination of fully integrated audiovisual facilities, maximum comfort and optimum ease of use, among other features.
At the heart of the table are
flat screens recessed under clear-vision toughened glass, which makes sharing presentations and documents easy. This arrangement, notes the company, also allows participants in the meeting to maintain eye contact with each other because they no longer have to turn to face a single central screen on a wall – ensuring increased interaction, improved meeting dynamics and
enhanced efficiency. The Quarta table can be equipped with a videoconferencing system, and also includes an audio system, laptop connectivity and a touchpanel that allows control of screens, sound level, lighting, climate and other functions. AVEX says that it is well aware
that organisations have specific requirements when it comes to business accommodation, which means that not all meeting
environments are the same. The Quarta range provides different versions in terms of size, finish and audiovisual components, and allows companies to choose the Quarta table which best suits their specific operational requirements. Quarta tables are co-produced by two Dutch companies – AVEX and Exclusive Products – and are manufactured in the Netherlands. Stand: 1-F69
have a simplified user interface and the more advanced models include voting functionality. Those units come with an integrated RFID card reader for identification and authentication. Confidea G3 is also compatible with the new generation of Televic microphones, known from the uniCOS Multimedia Conference System. The Wireless Conference Access Point has an upgraded on-board webserver, which means a basic set-up does not require additional software to control the system.
The newly designed web interface is mobile- friendly and allows the system to be controlled from a laptop, tablet or smartphone. Confidea G3 starts shipping in March 2014. Stand: 3-C125, 2-A42
IDB supports pen, pointer, finger VTRON VTRON VL Series offers OPS support
The VL Series is an Interactive Digital Board (IDB) from exhibitor VTRON. Featuring LED backlight technology, Full HD resolutions, infrared touch positioning technology and a depth of just 10cm, it is designed for classrooms, boardrooms and meeting rooms. Pen, pointer and finger can be used to interact with the
touchscreen, which also supports multitouch operation. The screen itself is anti-scratch. The spec also includes two built-in speakers, provided to support stereo sound. A total of three options are
available. For the first, an embedded OPS computer can be specified. OPS is Intel’s Open Pluggable Specification, designed to ease the attachment of a broad range of multimedia devices. The VL Series is also
available with an external PC running Windows 7. The third option is the provision of an HD Video Processing Module, which provides users with network interoperability, paving the way for a cost-effective way to conduct distance learning or meetings. It allows for high- definition video transfer and mass data-sharing. The latest version of VBoard is said to allow users to more easily
create a content-based presentation through the upgraded layout design of the digital board. This, according to VTRON, is a significant enrichment of the resources available for teaching and training, combining an image gallery (education and meeting content), more user- friendly writing features, and a better management programme for ready-made files.
