09:30 - 12:30 Project Management Skills for the Technician & Designer Speaker: Simon Buddle, SMC Room D202 Fee: €125 (members), €165 (non-members)
We know that as a technician or designer, you’re the one who makes a project happen. And while ‘project manager’ may not be in your title, you’re probably doing that job too, which can be frustrating. So rather than complaining, join your equally frustrated peers for this class and learn how to do it right. Get an overview of the project management basics − stakeholders, project quality, scope creep, documentation and time management constraints − and gain insight into how other companies do project management and why it works for them. In the end, leave with the tools to ease your frustration and make you better at what you do, which should make everyone happy.
