Switchable privacy on polytouch
POLYTOUCH/PYRAMID COMPUTER GMBH
A new 46in polytouch self-service table for retail banking environments is on show at the Pyramid stand, alongside new polytouch multi-touch terminals equipped with switchable privacy filter technology.
Projector features latest standards SONY
Along with its range of business products and solutions, Sony is also taking the opportunity presented by ISE 2014 to showcase the company’s residential offerings as well as those targeted at production. Among its consumer
products is the VPL-VW500ES home cinema projector with 4K resolution, 1,700 ANSI lumens of brightness, and a dynamic contrast ratio of 200,000:1, as well as the new HDMI 2.0 standard. Based on Sony’s SXRD panel technology, it delivers images at the new 60fps standard rather than 24fps. The VPL-VW500ES is also capable of upscaling SD and HD sources using Sony’s Reality Creation technology.
For live corporate
productions, Sony is showing its integrated product ecosystem, including its ultra-portable AWS-750 Anycast Touch, alongside its line-up of multipurpose pan/tilt/zoom BRC cameras. The AWS-750 Anycast Touch is described as an all-in-one live production solution that makes live production accessible to anyone who requires live broadcasting or webcasting. The portable system is designed to be easy to use for those with no previous live production experience. According to Sony, Anycast
Touch eliminates the need for any of the hardware typically required for professional live streaming. The specification includes a video switcher,
encoder, recorder, audio mixer, titler and remote camera controller. The Anycast Touch allows for seamless video mixing between a number of video sources in a variety of formats. It is capable of recording up to four hours of video and audio on the internal HDD, creating and adding graphics elements to the image, controlling connected remote BRC cameras (pan, tilt and zoom), performing multiple effects and wipes to enhance the production, and instantly streaming the output over a WAN or the internet. Sony notes that, in addition to the above feature set, a fully functioned six-channel audio mixer is provided for a separate audio mix. Stand: 1-H95
The technology addresses retail banking security concerns by enabling normal touchscreens to be modified into PIN Pads. This allows a standard (public) viewing mode with no obstruction and a privacy mode in which only one user standing in front of the screen can see the confidential information. Pyramid is also showing a
range of models from its polytouch family, including the polytouch 22 and 32 CLASSIC multi-touch terminals and polytouch 22000 POS and 32000 POS systems.
polytouch 22 and 32 CLASSIC terminals are equipped with light- insensitive, projected capacitive technology. The Full HD, anti-glare coated screens are capable of detecting 20 simultaneous touches at 10 millisecond response time while rejecting palms resting on the screen. Aimed at hospitality, access
control, employee self-service and tourism, the terminals come with pedestal, wall-mount or built-in mounting options to suit different application environments. In addition, polytouch 22000 POS and 32000 POS connect to the web to facilitate multichannel strategies like cross-selling, product promotion applications and social network integration.
