What are the hottest trends in digital signage at the moment?

LED screen series designed for easy installation


AOTO


Billed as setting a new standard in LED screens for deployment in digital signage, television studios, concert halls and exhibition halls, the M Series LED Display is new from AOTO. Featuring a modular design, the M Series is slim, with dimensions of 480mm x 480mm x 77mm. It is also light in weight at just 10kg/panel. Integral rigging is designed to allow the creation of an installation up to 25 panels high, while a TUV-certified tool-less fast lock system facilitates quick set-up. It is fanless, so silent in operation, and can also be curved for creative deployments.


The M Series comprises no fewer than


nine models, all employing 20-bit processing featuring 2mm, 3mm, 4mm, 4.8mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm and 16mm pixel pitches. All use 2-in-1 SMD LEDs. The M2, M3, M4 and M4.8 deliver either 1,500 nits or 2,000 nits, and have a horizontal viewing angle of 160 and a vertical viewing angle of 160, while the other five can deliver either 2,000 nits in indoor mode or 5,500 nits in outdoor mode. Outdoor screens are IP66-rated. All models are quoted as having a 100,000 hour lifespan.

Signage player range launches CAYIN TECHNOLOGY CO


A range of new digital signage players will make its debut at ISE 2014 on the Cayin stand. The SMP-6000, SMP-4000 and SMP-2000 digital signage players all come embedded with the company’s upgraded SMP-NEO system software. The SMP-NEO is described as a


significant upgrade and aims to provide users with an intuitive user interface. It also offers rich library resources, allowing users to enrich content with a variety of


materials in the library, including files, fonts, clocks, programmes and playlists. SMP-NEO also allows users to upload


desired fonts or images, or to download the latest template resources from CAYIN’s Cloud service for free. Other updates to SMP-NEO include: scheduling management; support for the integration of web content such as Twitter, weather or news; real-time online help; and simple playback settings integrating the functions of the SMP-PRO and SMP-WEB series. Eco-friendly LEDs suitable for the great outdoors

A wide range of LED displays are on show at the Prismaflex stand during ISE 2014. The company is a long-term specialist in signage for outdoor advertising market. The company’s new Blue Tech eco-friendly


advertising technology is


being demonstrated on a 2sqm Scroller sign and on a static sign. Blue Tech, which stores sunlight for night-time display lighting, combines photovoltaic cells and lenticular printing. It creates autonomous solar-powered displays by integrating


photovoltaic panels into street furniture. Blue Tech can be fitted to any type of display, says Prismaflex. Also on show are a 6sqm Pitch 8 SMD LED screen, a 2sqm pitch 6 SMD LED screen, a 4sqm Pitch 4 SMD wall unit LED screen and a 6sqm pitch 8 SMD wall unit LED screen. Stand: 8-D260


P3 LED display debuts OPTO TECH CORPORATION


The patented indoor P3 LED display by new ISE exhibitor OPTO TECH offers a modular structure which minimises the gap between assembled modules. In addition, it allows for a speedy disassembly process, to reduce labour time and costs.


The P3.1mm display


delivers 3,000 nits brightness and 100,000


hours of life, making it a strong contender for semi- outdoor usage. It also features high efficiency LED and IC technology to reduce heat and extend the life of the LED. Customised modules can support more effects.


The company is pitching the P3 LED display for shop windows and for use in advertising, hotels and more.
