Thai training academy unveiled 22
UK: The award-winning Thai SenSpa at Careys Manor Hotel in Brockenhurst has launched a new accredited training centre for qualifi ed therapists to extend their training and broaden their skills. The SenSpa Academy will enable students to learn new techniques, including the basics of traditional Thai massage, while its three-day Thai Massage course is fully accredited as the VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Thai Massage (QCF). The Academy has been created by SenSpa Director and Academy
Director Lina Lotto, with Principal Tutor Dinah Pickering and Tutor Tina Herridge. Speaking at the launch, Lotto said: “The Academy will address the widening skills gap for therapists in the spa industry. We’ll help managers enhance the skills of existing staff as well as equip recently qualifi ed therapists for employment.”

Bjurstam will be responsible for directing the brand’s portfolio of 29 spas to become more wellness-orientated, introducing targeted treatment programmes. She will continue to be involved with Raison d’Etre, which has appointed Annika Jackson as Managing Director. With more than 30 years’ experience in the hospitality sector, Neil Jacobs said: “Six Senses is positioned for exciting growth into new markets, reaching new audiences and creating new experiences for our guests.”
