To set the pop-up rezeroing turret the shooter simply pulls upward on the dial, followed by turning it to the zero point. Setting it in this manner will allow the shooter to quickly and easily return the reticle to the previous setting.
The large markings on the turret adjustment dials certainly are an advantage for those of us with waning vision.
mension rifle chambered in 22-250 using a set of Leupold QRW quick release rings. This combination of the VX-6 and the 22-250 Dimension would in my estimation be the perfect match for a wide variety of varmint shooting opportunities. Because of the switch barrel concept utilized by the T/C Di- mension, a single rifle could easily double for both varmints and big game simply by switching the barrel and magazine assembly. In this case it surely would result in changing the bullet impact point, but there are a couple of ways to possibly shortcut having to rezero the rifle on the range. One approach would be to have a separate scope that is zeroed to match the barrel and different cartridge and equipped with quick release rings. In this case you simply could switch scopes around when changing out the barrel. Another approach made possible by Leupold’s VX-6 pop-up rezeroing turret adjustment system would be to sight in the rifle with any one
of the barrels/calibers you prefer. Following that it would be necessary to adjust the pop-up system to show a zero setting. Because the scope would stay mounted to the rifle action, the barrel then could be removed and replaced with the second barrel and sighted-in again. Once that scope had been zeroed to match that particular barrel/caliber the numeral settings on the turret dials could be recorded so you could easily re- turn to those settings after switching barrels around. Either of these methods, it seems to me, would work out great and would take advantage of the flexibility that both Leupold and Thompson/Center have built into their designs. No scope evaluation would be complete without dirty-
ing the rifle bore, so I headed out back to my range to get some real life experience with the new VX-6. On the range the VX-6 performed its duties flawlessly. As I expected, the light gathering capabilities of the scope were excellent even
Tom's VX-6 3-18x44mm scope came equipped with a fine Duplex reticle.

The side focus on the VX-6 provides ease of access without the need to remove your eye from the lens.
Also available within the VX-6 reticle choices is the illuminated FireDot system.
