Cheektowaga, NY — The Series 2000 console range from Hammond Manufacturing enables complex con-

be stacked in multiple combinations to provide equipment support and display functions exactly where they are required. Systems are available in four

standard widths: 24-in. (600mm), 36- in. (900mm), 48-in. (1200mm) and 60-in. (1800mm). There are three pri- mary components: the base unit, available with either single or dual access; the desk unit with internal access through a lift-up sloping sur- face; and the turret unit with angled front face and front/rear access.

Irvine, CA — Newport Corporation is introducing the last installment of high accuracy FMS stages for higher- end metrology applications. Devel oped specifically to address the needs of surface metrology applications, the FMSxxHA stages are available in 100, 200 and 300mm models. Similar to the original FMS stages, these HA ver- sions also provide smooth motion, low

with an integral sloping top is also available. Once the basic structure has been designed, external options such as plinths, footrests or window doors can be added. A huge range of internal accessories such as electri- cal mounting panels, 19 inch mount- ing rails, DIN mounting rails swing frames, cable entries, gas struts and many others are available. The RAL7035 light grey units

meet the requirements of NEMA Type 3R, 4 and 12, equivalent to

IP66, enabling the consoles to be installed on the shop floor as well as in the control room. The stainless steel versions additionally meet NEMA 4X which make them suitable for various hose-down or corrosive

environments. Contact: Hammond Manufac - turing Co., Inc., 475 Cayuga Rd.,

noise, high straightness and flatness. With all-steel construction, the

FMS Series combines high stiffness and thermal stability for robust, high- ly precise, and repeatable measure- ments. The crossed roller bearings in the FMS have an anti-creep feature to provide exceptionally smooth and straight motion, reducing measure- ment noise and measurement vari- ability. The precision-ground, steel ball screw is designed for high-speed motion, enabling higher throughput. The FMSxxHA is driven by a stepper motor, with a linear encoder that pro- vides exceptional on-axis accuracy down to 1µm and sub-micron bi-direc- tional repeatability. For added flexibility in gathering

metrology data, the FMS Series is compatible with the company’s high- performance 8-axis XPS Universal Controller, an ESP-compatible, inte- grated controller/driver. The new FMSxxHA product is suitable for sur- face metrology, surface profilometry

and tribology applications. Contact: Newport Corporation,
