The new power supply is part of the Performance Red “Unsurpassed Error-Proofing” product category, which contains those products which have error-proofing capabili- ties for process verification. The new single-tool con-


trol power supply is compati- ble with ASG TL-Series, Alpha Series, CL-Series tools (up to 6500 model) and SS- Series tools (up to 6500 model). The power supply is


designed for use with automa- tion and PLC-based applica- tions and has inputs for tool enable and disable, and out- puts for cycle complete. In addition, the power supply offers high and low speed set- tings. The PS-55AT power supply offers the ability to count the quantity of finished batches and the number of screws to be installed into a single product when used in combination with an external monitoring device such as the STC-01 screw counter, also available from ASG. The PS55-AT power supply,


part number 65707, is rated for 2.5amps, has a built-in 3A input and a 4A output breaker, to provide 20 to 30VDC, from inputs of 110/120 or 220/240VAC. The unit measures 3.5 x 7.1 x 4-in. (89 x 180 x 102mm) and weighs 6.5 lbs. (3kg).
