Molex Introduces Temp-Flex Microwave Coaxial Cables
High purity fluoropolymer resin of- fers a low dissipation factor and en- sures a lower rate of energy loss. Highly consistent manufacturing processes are used to maintain tight mechanical tolerances yielding ex- tremely stable electrical perform- ance.
Benefits of the low- and ultra- Coax microwave cable.
Lisle, IL — Microwave Cables from Temp-Flex, LLC., a Molex company, reportedly deliver exceptional elec- trical performance in military, aero- space and defense, robotics and med- ical markets, in addition to automat- ic test equipment. Temp-Flex microwave coaxial
cables are available with either a solid core fluoropolymer resin dielec- tric (low loss) or an air-enhanced de- sign with a fluoropolymer resin layer applied over dual monofilaments (ultra-low loss) around the center conductor for increased signal speed.
NBS Offering Complete Electronic & Mechanical Design
Santa Clara, CA — EMS provider NBS is expanding its design engi- neering services to include complete electronic and mechanical design. Founded in 1999 as a PCB de-
sign company, NBS delivers a wide variety of leading-edge services in PCB design, end-to-end manufactur- ing, test and verification. The compa- ny has also been offering comprehen- sive component services from its team of dedicated engineers — providing BOM scrub, RoHS review, obsolete al- ternate parts analysis and component standardization. The company has now expanded its engineering portfo- lio to include electronic, as well as me- chanical design services. “Our reputation in the U.S.
market as PCB design experts is well established and widely known,” com- mented Ian Grover, NBS VP of De- sign Engineering. “We can now take designs from initial concept or with a customer’s spec and offer a complete turnkey solution through low volume manufacturing.” NBS President and CEO
Michael Maslana added, “Our ability to reduce the number of iterations abbreviates the engineering time cycle and results in our customers’ getting their products to market quickly and cost effectively.” The company services technology
businesses throughout the world and has facilities in Santa Clara, Calif., Santa Barbara, Calif., Nashua, NH,
and Jakarta, Indonesia. Contact: NBS, 2950 Patrick

low-loss microwave coaxial cable in- clude: phase stability; tight imped- ance tolerance: 50W ±1W; shielding effectiveness: >100dB; tight time delay tolerance; outstanding inser-
tion loss; FEP alternative to PTFE and ePTFE; bandwidth potential up to 110GHz; stability under dynamic conditions; minimal phase change versus flexure; low smoke halogen free available. Designed for superior monitor-
ing and control of radar, military ve- hicles, satellite, space, missile, RF ablation and test and measurement equipment, Temp-Flex coaxial cable solutions are insulated with a fluo- ropolymer dielectric. A helically- wrapped silver-plated copper flat-
wire shield and braid are applied to all cable sizes to achieve superior shielding effectiveness. The standard solid core (low loss) construction coaxial cable delivers 70 percent ve- locity of propagation (VOP), while the air-enhanced dual monofilament design (ultra-low loss) achieves 85 to 88 percent VOP and improved inser-
tion loss at high frequencies. Contact: Molex Inc., 2222
