Page 61 16-Channel PCI Express Encoder from Sensoray

Tigard, OR — Sensoray’s newest addition to its extensive line of OEM video capture cards is the Model 819, a 16-channel H.264 PCI Express encoder. For each input video channel the 819 can provide multiple output streams: two H.264 streams at independently set resolutions, frame rates, bitrates; a low frame rate JPEG stream and an uncompressed (preview) stream. Each channel allows an individually config-

ured multi-window character and graphics overlay and provides real-time motion data. An internal 16 X 4 analog crosspoint video

switch is used to route any combination of four composite output channels to external video moni- tors. Individual scalers and deinterlacers facilitate optimal resolutions for each captured stream. A high-resolution, high bitrate stream may be select-

Ultravolt Bows New High Power Systems

Ronkonkoma NY — UltraVolt, Inc. is introducing its newest high-voltage power systems — the HCP Series and MCP Series. These new high-voltage rackmount and bench-top power sys- tems are compact and light weight with a full-featured chassis and high voltage outputs of 0 to 125VDC to 2kV for the MCP series and 0 to 3.5kV to 300kV for the HCP series. These high voltage systems

enable users to reach high levels of power, starting from 0 to 14W and up to 15kW. Users will also benefit from high performance of the systems, which includes low ripple, excellent regulation, floating output, a low stored energy, and optional electron- ically controlled polarity reversal. Systems in either series are fully pro- grammable via a 10-turn poten- tiometer in which the adjusting knob can be locked. Each series also includes voltage and current moni- tors and can achieve “Green Power” efficiency of approximately 90 per- cent. Multiple computer interfaces are available on all units.

ed for archiving, while a lower resolution, low bitrate stream is preferable for simultaneous streaming to handheld devices, including smart phones.

The H.264 encoders implement high quality

Baseline Profile Level 3 compatible H.264 com- pression. Flexible encoder control allows achieving optimal stream parameters for a wide variety of applications. The output streams may be format- ted as elementary, MPEG-4 or transport stream. Sensoray provides an SDK for the Model 819 that includes drivers and demo applications for

both Windows and Linux operating systems. Contact: Sensoray, 7313 SW Tech Center

High voltage multi-output power supply.

The broad range of voltage and

power levels makes the series suitable for a variety of industries and applica- tions. Typical applications for the new series include particle accelerators, ion implantation, ion sources, ion pumps, electrostatic precipitators and materi- al separators, electrostatic spraying and flocking, sub-sea power sources, and test equipment. The company is expanding its

product offerings with higher power and higher voltage ranges. The com- pany is expanding its prior offering of models from 1.2kV at 90kW to now include models up to 2kV at 14kW and up to 300kV at 1.2kW. The MCP and HCP series product lines give users a significant capability with high connectivity, solid features, and

performance. Contact: UltraVolt, Inc., 1800
