Park Fieldhouse Rentals Park It! For Your Next Party


Book your next party or picnic at any one of our 13 park fieldhouse and picnic facilities. Fieldhouses may be rented whenever they are not being used by the park district for programs and leagues. Each fieldhouse has its own unique charm and is the perfect setting for birthday parties, family reunions, picnics, scout troops or even your next company staff meeting. Amenities include:


• Exclusive indoor restrooms • Kitchen facilities (oven, stove top and refrigerator) • Recreation room • Tables & chairs to accommodate facility maximums • Fireplace (excluding Crowley Park) • Outdoor charcoal grill (bring your own charcoal) • Picnic tables


Thirteen locations with all the amenities of your own home, right in the neighborhood. Plus plenty of parking!


Fieldhouse Rental Rates & Deposits —


The following rates are in effect for rental fees and security deposits. All fees may be paid with cash, personal check or credit card (Mastercard, VISA or Discover card). Personal checks will not be accepted less than 14 days before rental date.


> > Weekday & Off-Season Weekend Rental Fees – Weekdays (M-F) year-round and weekends between Labor Day and Memorial Day weekends. Residents: $45 for first three hours, $15 for each additional hour. Nonresidents: $90 for first three hours, $30 for each additional hour. Security deposit: $100 - fieldhouses and Flick Shelter.


> > Summer Weekend Rental Fees – (Sa & Su) & holiday dates between Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends. Residents: $150 per day until 9:30 pm. Nonresidents: $300 per day until 9:30 pm. Security deposit: $175 - fieldhouses, $100 - Flick Shelter.


Flick Shelter is unavailable for rental Dec. 1-March 1.


Park Hours —


Fieldhouses and adjacent picnic grounds may be rented from 9 am until 9 pm and until 9:30 pm on Fridays, Saturdays, some legal holidays and the night before legal holidays. Parks which do not have buildings have “dusk” closings.


Rules and Regulations —


You will receive a complete set of park usage rules and regulations at the time you pay your rental fee. Please be advised, however, that loud music and alcohol are not permitted in any park district park or fieldhouse. Dogs on leash are permitted on paved pathways in only the following parks: Countryside, Cunliff, Diederich, Flick, Hawthorne Glen, Indian Trail, Ladendorf, Rugen and Sleepy Hollow Parks and on the perimeter sidewalks only at Roosevelt Park, Swenson Park, West Fork Park and Community Park West.


Group Size Limits/ Picnic Permits —


There is a maximum group size limit for each fieldhouse and picnic area. Exceeding the limit is grounds for forfeiture of the deposit. (See chart on page 85.) Picnic permits for parks without fieldhouses must be obtained free of charge at Park Center for groups of 10-30 wishing to have a picnic.


Fieldhouse Rental Cancellation & Refund Policy —


If notice of cancellation is given at least 30 days before the rental date, the full rental fee, less a 10% service charge, will be refunded. If a cancellation is made with less than 30 days’ notice, the Park District will retain the rental fee.


Reservations & Rental Date Schedule —


Reservations must be made in person at Park Center, 2400 Chestnut Ave., at least one week in advance of

desired rental date. A security deposit and rental fee must be paid at the time the reservation is made. Fieldhouse keys may be picked up 1-3 days before the actual rental date. Functions conducted in park district buildings and facilities must be in accordance with established rules and regulations which the renter receives and signs. Failure to comply with any rule will result in forfeiture of the security deposit.


Reservations for dates through April 30, 2012 have been accepted since July 2011 and are ongoing. Applications for rentals between May 1-Sept. 5, 2012 will be accepted according to the following schedule:


> Recognized Organizations: Beginning 9 am, March 12


> Residents: Beginning 9 am, March 19


> Nonresidents: Beginning 9 am, April 2
