Saving Peacock Prairie


Meet author Beatrice B. Popelka whose book “Saving Peacock Prairie” details the efforts of a group of Chicago area citizens to save a small piece of Illinois history.


Ms. Popelka will present a synopsis of the history of the Peacock Prairie along with how she and other members of the Peacock Prairie Preservation Project saved the prairie. This is a free program, and Ms. Popelka will be available to sign copies of the book after the presentation.
