Join Glitzy Girlz for a special evening with mom full of glam and glitz. In this workshop, you’ll work as a team to complete the following stations: Glam (hair, make-up, nails) Crafts (stamps, paints &


embellishments) Jewelry (beautiful crystals, silver beads, pattern beads and charms) and Pastry Decorating. The evening ends with a red carpet couples’ fashion show. Pajama Spa Night —


Come hang with Glitzy Girlz and have a night of pampering and fun! Come to class dressed in your favorite PJ’s. We will be soaking up relaxation with facials, pedicures and manicures. Digital Cartoon Workshop —


Transfer yourself into a 2-D cartoon and write


your own cartoon strip! Using special software, you and your partner will create a digital ‘toon in your own images and then create a cartoon strip with special backgrounds, speech bubbles, and sound effects. As animators, directors and producers, you’ll record sound and dialogue to make your cartoon adventure come alive in video. On the last day, parents will join us for a Cartoon Festival and you’ll take home a copy of your digital adventure on CD! WHO: age 5; MAX/MIN: 10/6 ID#

You have been “hired” to work at C.A.K.E. (Creative Answers Kids Engineering Company)! Receiving daily EWR’s (engineering work request), engineers will work in teams to build and program your own robotic creations using the LEGO WeDo Robotics System. Advanced Robotic Adventures


Designed for older “engineers,” these


projects will add sound and motion to the ‘Bots you build that will get your Robots rockin’ and rollin’! We will also experiment with Video Game Robotics where we use our Robots to control video game animations we design and build in Scratch. Take your LEGO Robotics experience to the next level! Mad Science is back with one of our favorite series of fun, spectacular, hands-on science experiments! Some of the cool, new, hands-on science topics will include Detective Science, Movie Effects, Machines, and more. Each young scientist will be able to make some fun take home projects too, including a fun movie effect, a propeller driven car and many others. Babysitting Clinic — BEG/END

Learn how to be the safest and most dependable babysitter on your block. Girls and boys ages 11-15 who plan to babysit will gain the leadership skills and knowledge necessary to safely and responsibly provide basic child and infant care and first aid. Participants receive a CD-ROM with templates for business cards and a resume; downloads, including a database for organizing client information; and a booklet of activities, games, crafts and recipes. Before enrolling, please check your schedule to make sure you can arrive on time (or a few minutes early) every Saturday and can stay until 5 pm. Classes begin promptly at 1:30 pm and students must be present for the entire class period every week in order to complete certification. Participants who miss any part of a class will not be permitted to finish the series of classes and the fee will not be refunded. WHO: ages 11 to 16 yrs. MAX/MIN: 8/5 ID#
