Restoration Work Days
Make a difference in the environment!

March 10, April 7, May 26 & June 23
Help collect seeds or remove non- native, invasive plants to make way for native wildflowers, grasses and trees. Anyone ages 8 and up is welcome. No advance registration necessary—just bring your work gloves if you have them and meet at the Interpretive Center.
Work parties may be cancelled in the event of inclement weather.

School programs include opportunities to live the life of a pioneer, get “hands-on” with plants and animals and experience our fragile ecosystem.
Programs for scouts seniors, camps & other groups include trail walks, sleepovers and nature talks that can be tailored to your interests or scout badge requirements. Minimum group requirements apply.
The Traveling Trunk is our education outreach which will visit your school, camp, daycare, senior center or special event for a one-hour program led by our trained staff. Turtles, toads and snakes are just some of the animals who will come for this hands-on program.
Invite a snake or turtle to your child’s next birthday party when you host it at The Grove! See page 79 for party options that are truly wild!
Free Trail Walks
Guided trail walks are ideal for families and individuals & those who are interested in nature.
> At The Grove Saturdays at 2 pm April 7, April 14 & May 26 Nature walks will focus on wildflowers, bird migration and other signs of spring.
> At Fuller Air Station Prairie Saturdays at 11 am May 19, June 2 & June 16 Prairie walks will focus on emerging plants, native animals and other signs of spring.
