Tauck Giving Back to

Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks

In support of the national parks, Tauck made a grant to the Sequoia Parks Foundation to help reestablish native plants in the wet meadows of Kings Canyon. The Sequoia Parks Foundation is dedicated to supporting projects that enhance the restoration, conservation, and enjoyment of Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks and the southern Sierra Nevada.

We partnered with Save

the Rain in 2011 to help save the school children in Tanzania. Our Tauck Directors were instrumental in helping us identify a way to help the village schools we visit on tour. Their recommendation reflected their commitment and passion for the places they share with our guests that now provide a life-giving resource to the local community for clean, filtered water. We were proud to award a Destination Grant to Save the Rain for the purchase and installation of rain-harvesting and filtration systems at two Tanzanian primary schools. These systems are critical to deterring the spread of serious water-borne illnesses that prevent so many tribal children from going to school... and improving their lives for the future.

Every year for the past nine years, hundreds of Tauck guests and employees... now totaling more than 14,750 and counting... have taken part in Tauck’s award-winning volunteer program in our national parks. Thanks to them, we earned Presidential recognition in 2006 for our efforts in Yellowstone, where we painted, planted, scraped, weeded and beautified wilderness landscapes to their natural picture-perfect state. Since 2009, Tauck guests of all ages (including families on Cowboy Country) have worked alongside park staff in Grand Teton National Park during their summer Tauck vacations to help protect these treasures for the future. Thank you!
